Helen Rollason Cancer Charity provides accessible, high-quality cancer support for adults across Essex, helping people at every stage of their cancer journey – from diagnosis, through treatment, and beyond. Their Support Centres offer a calm and welcoming environment where patients, along with their families, friends and carers, can find comfort, understanding and practical help.

The centres provide a range of complementary therapies designed to support emotional and physical wellbeing, including counselling, reflexology, aromatherapy and manual lymphatic drainage, alongside supportive group sessions. Additional activities such as Pilates, yoga, mindfulness, art and craft groups, and Look Good Feel Better workshops help people rebuild confidence, connect with others and improve their quality of life while coping with cancer.

At the heart of the charity’s work is the belief expressed by its founder, Helen Rollason MBE:

“Good quality of life while coping with cancer is the most important gift a sick person can receive. It should be available to everyone.”

The charity relies on donations, fundraising and income from its charity shops to continue providing these vital services. Its Support Centres remain welcoming spaces where people affected by cancer can talk, receive support, or simply enjoy a friendly conversation in a peaceful setting.
